John Peterson has established himself as one of the top young trainers in the greyhound game. Having only had his license since August 2011, and having branched off from his brother, Michael, and his training operation, John has managed to set up his own top class training establishment based near the Bicester schooling track.

John is no stranger to the greyhound racing game, and he's been around greyhounds all of his life. His mother and father were both professional trainers, and were attached to Swindon some 15 years ago. John's grandfather also trained at Harlow, and continued training well into his 70's. Of course, John's brother Michael is also a successful trainer, supplying graded dogs to both Oxford and Hall Green. Whilst working under his brother as assistant trainer, the kennel managed to win the 'Trainers Championship' at Oxford for 2 years running. Other trainers that John has worked for include a who's who in greyhound racing, including the legendary Terry Dartnall and Chris Kyme.

Assisting John is his assisant Bree. Again, Bree has been involved in greyhounds all her life, and learnt the trade well from one-time Swindon Champion Trainer Anne Finch. Bree also followed John in working for Michael Peterson. Bree is an integral part of the set-up at John's kennels.

John has established a very modern setup of kennels located in the glorious Oxfordshire countryside. Surrounded by woodland and miles of walks, each kennel has been purposely built for racing greyhounds (which had been operating as boarding kennels). On the kennel site, there is a 400 yard gallop, 12 grass paddocks, a wash room and prep area. John is very proud to have taken pups in for schooling, and with the schooling track just round the corner, it's never much to ask to get your pup schooled properly. Some of the graded successes that John has had include Killishin Tango, Matties Mate and Tarty Toes. John is willing to travel with his best dogs and seek Open Race success.

John currently has room for around 20 more greyhounds in his kennel, so don't hesitate to contact him if you require a trainer.
