Set in the Oxfordshire countryside are the kennels of Kevin Hutton.

Based in Burford, Kevin has established himself as one of the big up and coming trainers in greyhound racing. Backed up by a top team of staff, the kennel has grown year on year to a successful racing strength, both running in graded racing at Swindon and in Open Races up and down the country.

2012 saw the kennel rack up an incredible 300 graded wins, producing a strike rate of 30%, which is top notch for a kennel of this size.

Aswell as focus on running graded racing, the kennel is also a big name on the open race circuit, regularly posting winners at tracks such as Hove, Henlow and Sittingbourne. The kennel amassed 92 open race winners in 2012, vastly surpassing the 50 winners as a target. Some of the key moments of the year included winning the Kent St. Leger with Crinkill Jewel, and reaching the Oaks and Laurels finals.

Such a strike rate has led the kennel to be ranked 17th in the trainers championship, and 7th in the Open Race Winners category.

The dogs themselves get treated with the best, including fresh meat and feed to maintain a healthy racing diet. The kennels themselves are lovely and spacious, with duvets and bedding that are changed daily. There is also plenty of paddock space for the greyhounds to stretch their legs. The kennel also boasts a 300 yard shavings gallop, to keep the greyhounds fit for racing.

Kevin always has spaces open for new owners and syndicates, aswell as being able to cater for any budget through his extensive list of Irish contacts. There is a very good owner base at the kennel, with many of the owners often meeting up for the kennel walks on a Sunday! Kevin also regularly posts updates to the kennel blog, that you can find at the bottom of this webpage.
